Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 June 2026
This policy explains how 100 Stops ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses your personal data when you download our free Courier Handbook or sign up to hear from us. We are the "data controller" for that information under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
100 Stops, contactable at privacy@100stops.co.uk.
What we collect and why
| Information | Why we collect it | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address | To send you the free Courier Handbook (and the download link) that you requested. | Performance of your request / our legitimate interest in delivering what you asked for. |
| Your first name (optional) | To personalise the emails we send you. | Consent (you choose whether to give it). |
| Your mobile number (optional) | Only collected if you ask to receive text offers, so we can send them. | Consent. |
| Your marketing choices & consent record | To honour what you ticked, and to prove we only contact people who agreed — including the date and source of your consent. | Consent / legal obligation to evidence consent. |
Marketing — only if you ask for it
Downloading the handbook does not sign you up to anything. We will only email or text you marketing if you tick the relevant opt-in box. Email consent and text (SMS) consent are separate choices — agreeing to one does not opt you into the other.
You can withdraw consent at any time: click "unsubscribe" in any email, or reply STOP to any text. It's free and takes effect promptly. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We use MailerLite as our email/marketing platform ("data processor") to store our list and send our messages on our behalf; they process your data under their own security and data protection obligations. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, your data is protected by appropriate safeguards (such as UK-approved data transfer agreements).
How long we keep it
If you only download the handbook and don't opt in, we keep a minimal record of that request. If you opt in to marketing, we keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, after which we remove you from active marketing and retain only what we need to record that you opted out.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have it corrected or deleted; restrict or object to how we use it; withdraw consent; and ask for a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email privacy@100stops.co.uk.
Cookies
This site uses only the minimal cookies needed to function. We don't use third-party advertising cookies. If that changes, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
